It is an ideal time to visit Piedmont. As I have reported in previous years, an interest in local wines has sparked an impressive rise in tourism, with scores of new services, restaurants and rural bed & breakfasts to cater to the growing demand. The stronger dollar means I’m also hearing more American voices in the local wine shops and cellars.
